Group visits
Are you visiting with 10 people or more? Your party will be considered a group. Groups are very welcome at the new Marius van Dokkum Museum from November onwards.
Group visits must be booked in advance. Please email info@mariusvandokkummuseum.nl and include:
- the number of people in your group
- your preferred date and arrival time
- the name and telephone number of the contact person
- if applicable, the number of wheelchairs, walkers and carers
Once we have received your request, we will contact you to discuss the options.

School visits
School groups are also welcome to explore the Marius van Dokkum Museum independently. The relatable scenes and humour in Marius’ work encourage students to look closely together, discover stories and share their thoughts.
Would you like to visit with a school group? Please register your visit in advance by emailing info@mariusvandokkummuseum.nl and include:
- the number of people in the group
- the students’ ages
- your preferred date and arrival time
- the name and telephone number of the contact person
Children up to and including the age of 12 receive free admission to the museum. Teachers and other adults accompanying school groups can also visit free of charge.
Educational programme
At the moment, we do not yet offer an educational programme for schools. We are currently developing one. As soon as more information is available, you will find it on this page.
Would you like to visit the museum independently with your class in the meantime? That is possible. Please register your visit in advance by email.
